Eponet Finance and Transaction Report
The Financial and Transaction Report is primarily a tool for infrastructure operators.
Generate a PDF report showing all account transactions over a specific period for an account statement.
You can find this function under ‘Settings’ > ‘Financial Overview’, where you can also view your account balance and all your account transactions.
Switch to the ‘Transactions’ tab. Here, in the top section, you will see the ‘Report’ function
Create report (Rapport)
- Click on ‘+ Report’.
- Select the date range (From / To).
- Select which types of details you wish to include:
- Transaction details: Under ‘Details’, you will see the account movements for the selected period
- Public settlement details: Displays all public settlements via QR code for the selected period
- RFID details: Displays all debits made via RFID cards
- Device data: Displays statements for appliances (e.g. washing machines) via registered RFID cards
- Note: To keep the PDF file manageable, a maximum of 1,000 sessions are included.
- Click on ‘Download’.
The financial and transaction report is always based on the most up-to-date data. This may mean that a report you generate at the beginning of July for the period from 1 May to 30 June contains different data to the report you generated at the end of July for the same period. How is this possible?
One reason could be that a charging station has sent us the data late.
Here is a summary of the possibilities:
We are aware that these statements in our transaction report are structured very transparently and are also compiled from several sources. This gives rise to the following issues:
- The charging stations show charging sessions that span several days.
- Depending on the product, they report different data
- Some report consumption only once for the entire charging period
- Others report every 2 minutes and then stop for several hours
- Still others collect their meter readings and send this data sporadically
- Sometimes the charging processes are only reported by the charging station days later
- If a charging station is offline, this can also lead to various situations
- They do not report the data; Eponet must collect it
- They report the data in aggregated form, and Eponet has to assign it to the individual charging sessions
- They only report the charging sessions after a month
- Matching meter readings are missing
These are just a few examples of why this data can sometimes be difficult to explain in the reports.
For this reason, our software credits you with the data that was available at that time. If data is supplied later or generated retrospectively over a period of days or months, it will be added in the correct place.
To ensure that the final invoices are still correct for you, we take the more labour-intensive approach and take into account all charges from the commissioning of the charging point up to the date of the report. These figures are offset against the credit notes issued, so that you receive the exact figures from the very first day the charging station was commissioned.
Add up all the credit notes (transaction report) and all the debits (RFID transactions) – the totals will match from day one.
This means you always have control over whether everything is correct. If you were to do this for individual debits, you would have to take all the points mentioned above into account, which would be impossible.
So, if you now compare the RFID transactions in the account with the credits paid out, the figures will match. It is therefore not possible to reconcile the individual RFID transactions from the report with the credit note.
