How do I download my QR code for my charging station from the Eponet portal?
These instructions show you, step by step, how to download the QR code for your charging station from the Eponet portal. You will need this QR code to order the charging station labels.
What is the QR code?
The QR code uniquely identifies your charging station and enables:
- Public charging by third parties (if enabled)
- Easy identification of the charging station
- Automatic start of charging and payment upon scanning
Requirements
- Access to the Eponet portal
- Permissions for the "E-mobility" section
- The charging station must already be registered in the system
Step-by-step guide
Step 1: Log in to the Eponet portal
- Open your web browser
- Navigate to the Eponet portal URL
- Log in using your credentials
- Click on "E-mobility" in the main menu
- Select "Chargers" from the sub-menu
- You will now see an overview of all your charging stations
Step 3: Select a charging station
- Find the desired charging station in the list
- Click on the charging station to open the detailed view
- The master data and information about the charging station will be displayed
Step 4: Open the QR code section
- Scroll down in the details view
- Look for the "QR Code" section
- Here you will see:
- A preview of the QR code with the Eponet
logo - The charger ID (e.g. 25-5889)
- The EVSE ID (e.g. CHEPOE0001749)
Step 5: Add additional information (optional)
- Below the QR code, you will find a text field
- Here you can enter additional information, e.g.:
- Hubject
number - Internal location
designation - Parking space number - This information will be embedded in the downloaded file
Note: The additional information field is particularly useful if you manage multiple charging stations and wish to distinguish between them internally.
Step 6: Download QR code
- Click on the "Download" button (with drop-down arrow)
- A drop-down menu appears with three format options: JPG (JPEG image file)

Step 7: Save file
- The download will start automatically
- The file will be saved with the following name:
- Format: QR-Code_[EVSE-ID].[Format]
- Example: QR-Code_CH-EPO-E0001749.svg - Save the file in an easily accessible location
- Important: Make a note of the file name for the order form for the custom labels
Step 8: Note down information for the order form
Make a note of the following information (required on the order form):
- Charger ID: ___________________________
- EVSE ID: ___________________________
- QR code file name: ___________________________
Multiple charging stations
If you have multiple charging stations:
- Repeat steps 3–8 for each charging station
- Save all QR codes in a shared folder
- Name the files uniquely if the automatic names are the same
- Create a list of all charger IDs and EVSE IDs
Tip: Use an Excel spreadsheet or the order form to keep track of everything.

The downloaded QR code can also be used for:
- Your own signage at the charging point
- Information material for users
- Software display on screens or websites
Important: The QR code should always be displayed in conjunction with the EVSE ID, as this is not displayed in the Hubject network
